Product Introduction / Overview

The ADLINK 51-37111-0C1 is an industrial-grade 3U CompactPCI Rear Transition Module (RTM) / Interface Board. 

Designed to work in tandem with ADLINK's 3U CompactPCI master CPU blades (such as the cPCI-3700A Series) and display modules (such as the cPCI-8217 / cPCI-8217R), this interface card routes internal I/O bus signals through the backplane.

By shifting cable management and peripheral connections (VGA, LCD, Ethernet, COM, USB) to the rear panel, it preserves front-panel space, protects wiring inside industrial enclosures, and enables hot-swappable, high-reliability architecture in mission-critical applications.

Installation Method

Power Isolation: Ensure the 3U CompactPCI chassis power supply is completely turned off before installation.

Align Rear Slot: Locate the corresponding Rear Transition Slot on the back panel aligned with the front master CPU/display blade.

Insert RTM Module: Slide the 51-37111-0C1 card along the chassis guide rails until the backplane J2 pin header is fully mated.

Secure Fasteners: Tighten the top and bottom retaining screws on the front/rear faceplate to prevent loosening from vibration.

Connect Cables: Attach VGA cables, LCD ribbon harnesses, or RJ-45 Ethernet network leads to the rear I/O connectors.

Operating Instructions

Pin / Jumper Checks: Prior to initial powering, inspect onboard jumper configurations (e.g., panel voltage selection 3.3V / 5V) to match your connected display or peripheral hardware specifications.

Dual-Display Routing: When utilized with cPCI-8217 modules, verify BIOS setting defaults for proper dual-display signal cloning (VGA + LCD panel).

Hot-Swap Caution: Do not physically disconnect internal LCD panel ribbons while main power is applied to prevent overcurrent trip hazards.
