role in your cargo safety, but certain analysers (AAL7000 and

OPSIS) have now been defined as obsolete by their OEMs.

This means that one-to-one HMI replacements are no longer

available. To protect against unexpected downtime and bring

your equipment up to date, we recommend upgrading to the

Alfa Laval SMIT7000 oxygen analyser.

Proactive upgrading to the SMIT7000 analyser will ensure

lifetime. The SMIT7000 analyser comes with all relevant type

approvals and has been the standard for new Alfa Laval inert

gas systems since mid-2020.

As the manufacturer of your inert gas system, with access to

its original design data, we can provide a tailored analyser

upgrade kit and update your system’s documentation. Before

anything is shipped, we compile the correct parts and ensure

the correct settings.

The upgrade kit includes the following:

• SMIT7000 oxygen analyser with pre-programmed settings

• Wire numbers

• Probe and probe cable

• SMIT7000 operation manual

• Updated process and electrical documents/ drawings

While it’s possible for the crew to install the Alfa Laval

SMIT7000 oxygen analyser, we recommend having a certified

Alfa Laval Marine Service engineer perform the upgrade. Our

service rates.
