Operating Instructions

Pre-Installation Verification: Inspect the P-26-74A and P-26-74B circuit boards for physical transport damage, bent header pins, or missing jumper caps before inserting them into the slot.

Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Protection: Always wear a grounded anti-static wrist strap when handling the board to prevent damage to sensitive IC components.

Installation & Mounting: Ensure the control rack main power supply is switched off. Align the card rails with the rack slots and slide the board firmly into the backplane connector until fully seated.

Wiring & Interconnection: Secure field wiring to the designated terminal blocks according to the system schematic. Ensure shielding on sensor wires is grounded only at the designated single-point earth terminal.

System Power-Up & Calibration: Turn on system power. Verify that the power/status LED turns solid green and execute initial calibration or baseline sensor zeroing using system software or hardware potentiometers as specified.

Fault Diagnosis

Status LED Unlit:

Check the rack backplane power supply (24 VDC rail).

Inspect internal fuses on the P-26-74A board.

Verify full seating into the backplane edge connector.

Signal Clipping / Invalid Data Readings:

Inspect field wiring connections at the P-26-74B interface module.

Check for ground loops or ungrounded sensor cable shields.

Re-check input sensor bias voltage and cable integrity.

Fault / Alarm Red LED Active:

Run system diagnostics to determine if an internal self-test or memory check failed.

Power down the system, remove the module, and inspect edge connectors for debris or oxidation.

Ensure board jumpers match channel configuration requirements.
