Moog announces obsolescence information for the Moog extension module QDIO 16/16-0.5, effective from April 1, 2022. This document replaces any previous product life cycle announcements for those products. The following part number is affected by this end of life notice. Product: Extension module for Moog Motion Controller MSC I and MSC II families D137-001-005 Digital extension module QDIO 16/16-0.5 This notice provides a schedule for end of sales, last delivery and end of product support, service and repairs. It gives the timetable for the digital extension module QDIO 16/16-0.5 product obsolescence with key timelines and support options that are now available to you. Date Program Activity QDIO 16/16-0.5 April 2022 End of Life announcement December 2022 End‐of‐Sale (no longer open for orders or available for purchase) June 2023 December 2024 Final date for last delivery of product Final date of last product support, services and repairs Moog does not offer a replacement for the QDIO 16/16-0.5. As the QDIO 16/16-0.5 is used within applications with MSC I and MSC II, which are obsolete, the QDIO 16/16-0.5 now becomes also obsolete. For applications with MSC II Motion Controllers with EtherCAT master (D136-002-003, D136-002-005), there is the alterative to use the supported EtherCAT slave modules, e.g. Beckhoff EL1004 (digital input) and EL 2004 (digital output). A change of the MACS application project is required to use these modules. For new applications Moog offers the MSC III as successor of MSC I and MSC II. The MSC III is programmable with MASS, the successor of the MACS development environment.
