About the IC3600VBCU1
The IC3600VBCU1 is a PCB component for the Mark I and Mark II series from GE. The MKI/MKII were the first two of the successful Speedtronic gas/steam turbine management systems to be released by GE. These systems focused on improving the efficiency of heavy-duty turbines and can be used to manage everything from a single 4000 HP unmanned pumping station up to a multi-turbine power plant (up to 400 Mw combined cycle capability.) GE made these systems adaptable and scalable, with the ability to use or lose features as necessary. Reliability in the MKI/MKII is high, due to a system of intentional redundancies built into the system, which gives important controls and parameters back-ups that take over in case of an error.
The IC3600VBCU1 is built with eleven integrated circuits. Circuits are placed on the board in two lines of four and one line of three. These are interspersed with seven diodes, which have been mounted to the board horizontally. The board also has a single high-voltage ceramic capacitor. There are very few components on the board. In areas where there are no components, the board is printed with silver traces. Many of these traces connect to through holes.
