Operating at a speed of 25 MHz, this CPU ensures that the module can handle multiple tasks simultaneously with a high degree of efficiency. The module's typical scan rate is 0.22 milliseconds per 1 kilobyte of logic. 

This quick scan rate is particularly beneficial in scenarios that require fast processing of Boolean logic, ensuring timely responses in automated systems. Memory and Storage Capabilities It is equipped with 240 KB of user memory (equivalent to 245,760 bytes), which is utilized for storing user programs and data. The actual available memory for user programs varies depending on the configuration settings for different types of memory. The module supports a wide range of memory types, including discrete input and output points, discrete global memory, internal coils, output coils, and system status references. Discrete Input Points: The module can manage up to 2,048 discrete input points. Discrete Output Points: Similarly, it supports 2,048 discrete output points. Discrete Global Memory: The module includes 1,280 bits of global memory. Internal Coils: A total of 4,096 bits are allocated for internal coils. Output (Temporary) Coils: There are 256 bits available for temporary or output coils. System Status References: The system status is referenced through 128 bits. Additionally, the Register Memory, Analog Inputs, and Analog Outputs are configurable in 128-word increments. Depending on the software version used, these memory types can be configured up to 16,384 words with Logicmaster or up to 32,640 words with Control version 2.2. Port 1: This port supports SNP/SNPX slave protocols and is accessed via the power supply connector. 

Ports 2 and 3: These ports can function as both SNP/SNPX master/slave and RTU slave ports. To enable RTU master functionality, an additional PCM module is required. Beyond serial communication, it also supports LAN connectivity, which includes multidrop configurations and compatibility with various communication modules such as Ethernet, FIP, Profibus, GBC, GCM, and GCM+ modules. This extensive range of communication options ensures that the module can be easily integrated into existing network architectures and can communicate effectively with other devices and systems. Advanced Features and Functionality The module is designed with several advanced features that enhance its functionality in industrial applications. One of these features is the battery-backed clock, which ensures that time-sensitive operations are not disrupted in the event of a power loss. 

The clock settings can be overridden if necessary, providing additional flexibility in system management. The module also supports periodic subroutines, a feature that allows users to execute specific functions at regular intervals, which is critical for applications requiring precise timing and control. In terms of memory storage, it utilizes both RAM and Flash memory, offering a balance between volatile and non-volatile storage options. This ensures that important data and programs are preserved even if the system is powered down. Compatibility and Expansion Possibilities 

 The module is highly compatible with various expansion modules, allowing users to build out their control systems as needed. It can control up to eight baseplates in total, consisting of one CPU baseplate and up to seven additional expansion or remote baseplates. 

This expandability is crucial for large-scale industrial applications where multiple baseplates are required to manage complex processes. Furthermore, the module is compatible with PCM and CCM modules, which extend its communication capabilities.
