It is part of the Fanuc 90-70 Series PLC systems and is designed for compatibility with Genius I/O handheld monitors IC660/IC661. This module manages and facilitates communication between I/O devices and the PLC CPU. Features Single-channel controller, which occupies only one slot in the handheld monitor PLC rack (designated as IC66). This streamlined configuration allows for efficient use of rack space while managing I/O operations. Responsible for scanning IC66 input/output blocks asynchronously. 

During each scan cycle, I/O data is transferred to the CPU over the backplane of the IC697 PLC rack. Supports directed communication originating from a PLC CPU communication service request and can be configured to perform global communications. Configuration is done exclusively through MS-DOS or Windows programming software configuration functions. Product Attributes 30 Drops per Channel: Supports up to 30 drops per channel, providing flexibility in connecting various I/O devices. I/O Diagnostics: Includes diagnostic capabilities for IC66 or IC661 I/O blocks, assisting in troubleshooting and maintenance. Installation and Operation Before installing, ensure that the power is turned OFF to avoid any electrical hazards. Follow the instructions provided in the applicable PLC installation manual for proper rack installation. Once installed, power ON the system. The module will power up with a blinking LED to indicate its operational status. The middle LED will illuminate when the configuration is received from the CPU and bus operation is verified.
