It is used to monitor voltages across DC link capacitors in Innovation Series Drives. The board features three neon lamps that blink when high voltage is present on the DC bus, providing a visual warning to users when the bridge cabinet doors are opened. Features It monitors voltage across DC link capacitors in Innovation Series drives. The board includes three neon lamps labeled DS3, DS2, and DS1, positioned along the top edge in a horizontal line. These lamps provide a secondary indication of voltage presence when the bridge cabinet doors are opened. When the DC bus contains more than fifty (50) volts DC, the neon lamps blink. An attenuator network controls these lamps. The board has no test points, fuses, connectors, or adjustable hardware. It features four through-plate mounting holes labeled E1, E2, E3, and E4 for mounting directly onto the DC power capacitor's terminals. E2 and E1 are on the left half of the PCB, while E3 and E4 are on the right half. It requires no input power and dissipates between three and five watts of power. DC link capacitors stabilize and smooth the DC voltage supplied to the drive components, acting as energy reservoirs. Monitoring the voltage levels across these capacitors is crucial for optimal performance and safety. The CVMB continuously monitors the voltage across each DC link capacitor, detecting deviations and allowing for quick response to potential issues. This helps prevent voltage fluctuations that could lead to operational problems or component damage. The three neon lamps serve as visual indicators of high voltage on the DC bus.

They blink to alert users or maintenance personnel of the presence of high voltage when the bridge cabinet doors are open, enhancing safety and preventing accidental exposure. Includes protection circuitry to prevent overvoltage conditions. If overvoltage is detected, the board signals the drive to shut down to protect the capacitors and other components.
