This board measures the exciter PPT ac supply voltage and current. It features terminals for two Flux/Air core coils and transformers for three-phase voltage measurement. The board connects to controllers M1, M2, and C via three DB9 connectors. Up to 90 meters of cable can be used to connect the EBKP backplane board to the EACF. For the flux/air core input signals, the board provides high-frequency noise reduction close to the signal entrance point.
The input screws are positioned no more than three inches from the cable shield terminal screws connected to the chassis ground. Exciter Voltage Measurement A single three-phase input voltage in the nominal range up to 480 V rms50/60 Hz is supported by the G1 version. A single three-phase input voltage in the nominal range up to 1000 Vat 50/60 Hz is supported by the G2 version. From their secondary outputs, the potential transformers on both boards deliver a nominal 1.6 V rms. Application Data The layout of the EACF board is depicted in the image below.
