Installation Method

ESD Safety Prep: Put on an anti-static wrist strap connected to cabinet ground before unboxing the unit.

Backplane Insertion:

Locate an open media slot on the host MS20 or MS30 basic switch.

Slide the MM20-T1T1T1T1EBH smoothly along the guide rails until the backplane connector locks into place.

Mechanical Securing: Hand-tighten top and bottom captive thumbscrews on the faceplate to ground the module chassis to the switch rack.

Cabling: Insert industrial shielded twisted-pair (STP) Cat5e/Cat6 cables into the RJ45 jacks until the release tabs click.

Operating Instructions

Hot-Swap Operation: The module can be installed, swapped, or serviced while the parent switch remains powered. Network management software automatically detects the module status change.

Diagnostic LED Status Reading:

Link/Data LED (Green/Yellow): Solid indicates a valid link; flickering indicates active packet transmission.

Off: Inspect cable connections, verify connected end-device power, or test cable length limit (max $100text{ meters}$).

Port Dust Management: Keep protective rubber plugs inserted in unpopulated RJ45 ports to maintain IP20 integrity and prevent dust or chemical vapor ingress.
