The Hirschmann RS20-0800S2S2SDAEHC09.1.00 is an 8-port Managed Industrial Fast Ethernet DIN-Rail Switch from Belden's OpenRail RS20 family.

Operating Instructions

DIN-Rail Mounting: Snap the switch onto a standard 35 mm DIN rail (EN 50022). Verify the top metal catch locks firmly into position.

Power Supply Wiring: Wire dual redundant DC power feeds (12–48 V DC) or 24 V AC into the 6-pin removable terminal block. Ground the switch via the chassis grounding screw to ensure EMC protection.

Fiber & Copper Connections:

Connect single-mode fiber optic cables (9/125 $mu$m) with SC connectors to ports 1 and 2.

Connect standard RJ45 Cat5e cables to copper ports 3 through 8.

Initial Configuration:

Connect to the switch using HiDiscovery software over Ethernet, or via serial console using the RJ11 (V.24) port.

Access the embedded Web Interface or Command Line Interface (CLI/Telnet) to assign IP settings, configure ring redundancy (HIPER-Ring / MRP), and set VLAN parameters.

Auto-Configuration via USB: Insert an optional ACA21-USB adapter into the USB port to back up device configuration or enable zero-touch field replacement.
