The connection steps of ABB NKTU11-24 I/O module to terminal unit cable are as follows:
Installing the terminal unit cable: Before installing or removing the cable assigned to this slot, please remove the module from its assigned slot. Otherwise, the module may be damaged.
Connecting J2 connector: Install J2 connector of NKTU01 or NKTU11 terminal unit cable into the slot allocated to I/O module on the back plate of module installation unit.
Insert J1 connector: insert the J1 connector of the cable into P1 port of the terminal unit.
I/O signal connection: According to Table B-2, the cable pin connection between P3 connector of I/O module and P1 connector of terminal unit is as follows:
P31 and P12
P32 and P13
P33 and P14
And so on
Power line connection: Be careful not to apply input voltage to E1 or E2 when the input of any sixteen field power sources exceeds 120Vac. If the AC voltage is out of phase, the total voltage level will exceed the voltage rating of NTDI02, which may lead to the damage of the terminal unit.
Replace the terminal unit: When replacing the terminal unit, it is necessary to turn off the power supply of the cabinet first, then disconnect the power supply and ground wire on E1, E2 and E3 Faston connectors of the terminal unit, and mark the wires allocated according to their terminals.
