Vibro-Meter IOCR2 input/output rear interface card

Vibro-Meter IOCR2 is an input/output rear interface card paired directly with the CPUR2 rack controller module in Meggitt’s VM600 machinery protection and condition monitoring systems.

Mounted in the rear of a 19-inch 6U rack (such as ABE04x), the IOCR2 serves as the communications gateway, providing external fieldbus connections, network communication ports, and signal/relay routing for industrial control integration.

Installation and Maintenance

Slot Matching: Always install the IOCR2 module in the rear slot directly corresponding to the front-mounted CPUR2 card.

Connector Fastening: Align the card edge connectors carefully along the 6U guide rails, press firmly into the backplane connector, and tighten the top and bottom retaining screws.

Cable Shielding: Connect Ethernet cables (RJ45) and serial cables using shielded twisted-pair (STP) lines. Ground the cable shields at designated rack terminals to eliminate noise and ground loops.

Firmware & Config Sync: When replacing an IOCR2 card, use VM600 MPSx or VibroSight software to perform "One-Shot" project sync to configure network addresses and mapping.
