Shinkawa JBP-278 P-22-48A-1 P-22-48B-1 Circuit Board Module
Product Introduction / Overview
The Shinkawa JBP-278 P-22-48A-1 / P-22-48B-1 Circuit Board Module is an industrial-grade junction and signal processing circuit board manufactured by Shinkawa Electric Co., Ltd. Designed for integration into centralized Condition Monitoring Systems (CMS) and turbomachinery protection racks, this module serves as a critical interface for dynamic vibration, displacement, and speed signals coming from field-mounted sensors.
The assembly features a two-board architecture combining the primary processing carrier board (P-22-48A-1) with its dedicated sub-interface daughterboard (P-22-48B-1). Together, they deliver precise signal isolation, line conditioning, and reliable backplane communication to safeguard high-value rotating assets like steam turbines, compressors, heavy pumps, and motors.

Product Features / Core Advantages
Dual-Board Modular Architecture: Separates core processing (P-22-48A-1) from field interface circuits (P-22-48B-1) for superior stability and easier maintenance.
High-Fidelity Signal Conditioning: Converts dynamic sensor feedback into clean, noise-free outputs suitable for critical shutdown and diagnostic networks.
Continuous Self-Diagnostics: Features built-in fault monitoring to detect sensor line breaks, input clipping, or power dropouts in real time.
Industrial EMI/RFI Immunity: Built with heavy isolation shielding to prevent signal corruption in high-voltage industrial plant environments.
Conformal Coating: Protected against corrosive gases, atmospheric moisture, and industrial dust buildup.
Model Classification
The Shinkawa JBP and companion processing board families are classified by system backplane interface, channel density, and application focus:
JBP-278 (P-22-48A-1 / P-22-48B-1): Junction processing board for multi-channel protection racks.
JBP-316 (P-26-73A-1 / P-26-73B-1): High-density junction processor board module.
CPP-111 (P-25-59A / P-25-59B): Core vibration signal processing module.
CPP-128 (P-26-74A / P-26-74B): Advanced signal processor board for condition monitoring.

Environmental Tolerance Conditions
Operating Temperature: 0°C to +60°C (32°F to 140°F)
Storage Temperature: -20°C to +70°C (-4°F to 158°F)
Relative Humidity: 5% to 95% RH (Non-condensing)
Vibration Resistance: 10 to 55 Hz, 0.15 mm peak-to-peak displacement
Shock Resistance: 15 g peak (11 ms pulse duration)
Operating Atmosphere: Free from corrosive vapors, conductive dust, and direct liquid splash
Installation Method
Power Disconnection: Shut off main power to the control rack before mounting or removing the module.
ESD Protection: Wear a grounded antistatic wrist strap when handling the P-22-48A-1 and P-22-48B-1 boards.
Chassis Rail Alignment: Align the board edges with the guide rails inside the designated rack slot.
Insertion: Slide the module smoothly into the rack until the rear multi-pin edge connectors lock firmly into the backplane.
Panel Fastening: Tighten the top and bottom retention screws on the front panel to anchor the board against operational vibration.
Operating Instructions
Field Cable Connection: Connect input sensor leads and output wiring to the terminal block as designated in the plant wiring diagram. Ensure sensor shield wires are grounded at a single earth ground point.
Power-Up Check: Apply rack power and monitor the front panel status indicator. A solid green status light confirms normal operation.
Calibration & Zeroing: Perform zero adjustments and baseline signal verification using system software or board trim pots if required during initial commissioning.
Periodic Inspection: Routinely check diagnostic indicators and output values on the master DCS/PLC system to verify ongoing signal integrity
