6. Installation Method

Mechanical Mounting (35 mm DIN Rail)

Positioning: Hook the top groove of the rear DIN rail clip onto the upper lip of the 35 mm DIN rail.

Snapping In: Press the bottom rear of the unit toward the rail until the spring latch snaps firmly into place.

Disassembly: Pull down the bottom locking latch using a flathead screwdriver and lift the bottom of the switch away from the rail.

Electrical Wiring & Grounding

Functional Earth Grounding: Connect a protective earth (PE) ground wire to the grounding screw located on the housing chassis prior to applying power.

Power Supply Connection: Wire a 12 V DC to 24 V DC SELV/Class 2 power source (9.6–32 V DC) to the 6-pin terminal block. Connect primary power to $+V1/ -V1$ and optional redundant power to $+V2/ -V2$.

Port Connections & Status

Copper Ports (1–4): Connect Cat5e/Cat6 STP/UTP ethernet cables into ports 1–4. The Auto-MDI/MDI-X feature automatically detects straight-through or crossover wiring.

Single-Mode Fiber Port (Port 5): Remove dust caps from the SC fiber connector. Insert 9/125 µm Single-Mode fiber cables into the SC transceiver port. Ensure $Tx rightarrow Rx$ and $Rx rightarrow Tx$ alignment.
