UNITROL1000 Series

The UNITROL1000 Series is ABB’s brushless excitation system for applications using synchronous machines ranging from 100kVA to 80MVA.

Deployed in 20,000+ installations all over the world, the UNITROL® 1000 Series applies to power generation plants, marine electrical propulsion and auxiliary supply, diesel electric locomotives, harbor cranes and mining trucks.

In combination with automation and electrical systems, rotating machine control, instrumentation and advanced digital services, ABB’s excitation system constitutes a complete and solid package to serve all power generation facilities.

NITROL 1020 is the voltage regulator intended for small and medium synchronous generators and industrial machines. It combines performance control and power circuits with a simple mechanical design provides high performance in a wide range of temperature and vibration conditions .

With built-in dual channel support, advanced load sharing between machines operating in parallel, rotating diode monitoring, automatic synchronizing and several integrated communication options, this automatic voltage regulator (AVR) is manufactured using the most advanced microprocessor technology and IGBT semiconductors allowing current output up to 20 ADC for continuous operation.
