Installation Method
Power Isolation: Verify that the primary AC/DC power mains are isolated and locked out before installation.
Rack Position: Always install the SMPS-08 power module into the leftmost slot (Slot 0) of the Samsung SPC/SM baseplate.
Mechanical Locking: Slide the module top guide hook into the baseplate notch, pivot downward until the backplane connector seats completely, and tighten the top/bottom retaining screws.
Protective Earth (FG): Connect a heavy-gauge copper wire (minimum 2.0 mm²) from the FG (Frame Ground) terminal directly to the central control cabinet ground bar.
Operating Instructions
Wiring: Connect primary power lines to L (Line) and N (Neutral) terminals. Maintain separate conduits for primary AC input cables and DC field signal cables.
Power-On Sequence: Once wired, apply power. Verify that the green POWER LED illuminates steady.
Auxiliary Power Limits: Do not exceed the 0.8A rating on the 24V DC field terminal block to prevent thermal tripping of the internal supply.
Maintenance Check: Check terminal block screw tightness every 6–12 months in high-vibration applications to avoid resistive heating.
